About us
Medex was founded in June 2004 as a business venture initiated by three physicians — specialists in pharmaceutical marketing — together with a private investor. Medex Ltd. obtained its wholesale distribution license for medicinal products in October and launched commercial operations in December 2004, with an initial focus on participating in centralized tenders for the supply of medicinal products to the Ministry of Health, as well as in procurement procedures of healthcare institutions across the country.
The company’s efforts are directed toward expanding its portfolio by offering and distributing high-quality products from leading manufacturers that do not compete directly with one another. The client base includes all major and financially stable hospitals in Bulgaria, as well as the Ministry of Health as the central purchaser of certain pharmaceutical products.
